Frying pan, large
Heat-safe long fork or spatula
Freezer-safe containers for storage
Cooking method
Add oil to cover bottom of frying pan. For those who like their cooking oils, go ahead and add more. Add the onions and garlic.
You are going to have to stand over the frying pan to keep stirring the onions and garlic. Start on high heat but slowly move lower it. I suggest listening to a good podcast during this time or a motivational speech. You want both the onions and garlic to be cooked through, not crunchy, as they are providing flavor and should not overwhelm.
Once the onion and garlic are cooked, add preferred spices. I like red pepper and garlic powder (yes more garlic).
Add the fish. Put the first slices under the onions and garlic. Keep adding as those slices cook. You’re going to have to move them around and flip them over, so that’s why you want the larger frying pan.
You are waiting for the fish to crumble into small pieces. You will not be able to tell the difference between the fish, onions and garlic. When it’s all one mushy mess, you’re done.
Transfer the fish from the frying pan to your freezer containers to be consumed in the future.
